More Hazards in Spectacular Ignorance for Sherlock

Benedict Cumberbatch as Sherlock Holmes looking slightly shocked while Martin Freeman as John Watson looks on

Let me get this straight. You're telling me *both* Smaug and Kahn are killed?

Apparently, Benedict Cumberbatch is honing is dying skills as an actor given the string of roles like Major Jamie Stewart in War Horse, Smaug in The Hobbit and (by general consensus) Khan in Star Trek. Uhm, gosh, I hope this isn’t foreshadowing for Sherlock…

I’m beginning to wonder if Cumberbatch has a bet going with with British actor Arthur Darvill for the most death scenes played in this decade. (For those who might not know, Darvill played the character of Rory Williams in Dr. Who where he dies A Lot — only to rise like a phoenix by some trick of the Doctor’s.) Has everyone missed the neurological research that shows the brain can’t tell the difference between actual experience and fictional experience so the body really does suffer “heart break?”
