You forget, Sherlock, I was a soldier — Season 3 Sneak Peek

Benedict Cumberbatch as Sherlock Holmes and Martin Freeman as John Watson in BBC Sherlock grabbling

But I thought I was sending a private message! Honest!

BBC Sherlock Spoiler Alert!

For those who haven’t seen all of Season 2 and don’t want to have a hint of what’s to come in the PBS episodes, stop now. Come back in a few weeks.

Mark Gatiss, co-creator of BBC’s Sherlock and the actor who plays Sherlock’s older brother Mycroft Holmes in the series, has revealed that the Season 3 opener will be based on The Adventure of the Empty House story. Empty House was written by Doyle to bring back Sherlock Homes after he killed the character off. Gatiss apparently agrees with those fans that think John Watson would not simply express delight upon discovering his friend had not actually died. The popular consensus among BBC Sherlock fans is that Watson has a lot of pent up anger to release. Given Martin Freeman’s delight in filming the scene below from A Scandal in Belgravia, I suspect he’s going to love the first episode of Season 3. (Very Wicked Grin)

So what do you think? Is Watson going to have a “bad day” in Season 3?
